Description
This lot consists of ten contemporary porcelain collector dolls, designed in the style of 19th-century bisque dolls. The dolls are constructed with porcelain heads, hands, and feet on stuffed cloth bodies. One doll features a verified signature and mark on the back of the neck reading Linda Rick, copyright 1997, and numbered 391/1000. The collection features a variety of fixed inset eyes in blue, green, brown, and violet tones, many with applied eyelashes. The dolls are fitted with synthetic fiber wigs in shades of auburn, blonde, and brown, primarily styled in elaborate curls and ringlets. Each doll is dressed in a detailed Victorian or Edwardian-inspired costume utilizing materials such as satin, velvet, lace, and knitwear, complemented by matching bonnets, hats, and floral accents. The dolls are accompanied by a large clear plastic rolling storage bin.
The largest doll measures approximately 24 inches in height.
The collection is in overall good condition, appearing previously displayed or stored. Some wigs show minor flyaway hairs typical of synthetic fibers. One doll has a small, minor smudge on her chin. No cracks, chips, or significant damage to the porcelain components are visible.
