Description

This is a lighted ceramic building in the Victorian chateau style, attributed to the Department 56 Original Snow Village series, model number 50849. The structure is composed of glazed ceramic and features cream-colored walls with a raised pebble texture. The steep red-tiled roof is detailed with molded white snow accents along the ridges and gables. The decorative gables are finished in blue paint with floral relief patterns. The architectural design includes a multi-windowed porch section on the left and a two-story gabled wing on the right. The window openings are glazed and colored yellow to simulate interior lighting. A green wreath with a red bow is positioned over the front entrance. The rear of the building includes a secondary entrance with a blue-painted gable and a circular port for the lighting fixture. The piece includes a white electrical cord with a two-prong plug and an inline thumb-wheel on and off switch. Height: 7.5 inches Width: 8.5 inches. The building is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The internal lighting is functional. Minor variations in paint application are present, which are typical for hand-finished ceramic collectibles of this type.
