Description

A complete set of vintage costume jewelry from the Queensbury collection by Avon, dated 1974. The suite is designed in a Victorian Revival style and includes a hinged bangle bracelet, a pendant necklace, a ring, and a pair of convertible pierced earrings. All items are constructed from gold-tone base metal and are set with faceted amethyst-colored glass stones and faux pearls. The hinged bangle bracelet features an ornate central motif with floral and scrollwork engraving on the band and a secure integrated clasp. The pendant necklace consists of an openwork pendant with a large oval purple glass stone suspended from a gold-tone link chain. The matching statement ring features a central purple stone flanked by two faux pearls and internal sizer. The convertible earrings include a faux pearl stud and an ornate removable drop; a tag in the box indicates the earring posts are 14 karat gold. Each piece of jewelry is stamped with the Avon mark. The set is accompanied by their presentation boxes and an informational insert for the earrings.
