Description
This vintage folding pocket knife is a Super Fly model, attributed to Yasuo Imai of Seki, Japan. It features a single clip-point blade made of stainless steel and a swing-guard mechanism that rotates into position when the blade is opened. The handle is constructed with black synthetic scales secured by brass pins to a polished metal frame. The blade tang is stamped with three lines reading STAINLESS, STEEL, and JAPAN. One handle scale features gold-toned lettering that reads SUPER FLY. The included black leather sheath features a metal snap closure and a belt loop. The reverse of the sheath is stamped PAKISTAN and 25, indicating it is likely a later replacement for the original Japanese-made accessory.
