Description
Official 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics Team USA tracksuit set manufactured by Levi’s. The two-piece set is comprised of a zip-up jacket and matching pants, both constructed from royal blue velour fabric with cream-colored side panels and red piping. The jacket features a full-length red plastic front zipper and a ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem in a red, white, and blue striped pattern. Embellishments on the jacket include a rectangular Levi’s logo patch on the right chest, a commemorative shield patch on the left chest featuring the year 1984, Los Angeles, USA, and the Olympic rings, and large red USA block letters with white borders centered on the back. The matching pants feature an elasticized waistband, stitched front creases, red piping along the side seams, and a Levi’s logo patch on the right hip. The reverse of the pants includes a single patch pocket on the right side with a white Levi’s logo tab. Both pieces contain interior white fabric labels identifying the manufacturer as Levi’s and the origin as Made in U.S.A.

The jacket is in good vintage condition with minor loose threads and fraying at the base of the front zipper. The pants are in poor condition, exhibiting a significant tear at the crotch seam, several smaller holes on the lower legs, and areas of heavy fabric wear and pilling. Elastic waistband is dry rotted. General surface pilling and wear consistent with age are present throughout both garments.
