Description
This is the 1942 edition of The Wolverine, the official yearbook of Michigan State College, located in East Lansing, Michigan. The volume was edited by Larry Hardy with Betty Crum serving as Business Manager. The yearbook is bound in original publisher’s textured greenish-grey hardcover boards featuring embossed Art Deco style geometric triangles in red, gold, and silver. The spine and front cover bear the title in stylized script and block lettering. The bottom right of the back cover is stamped with the manufacturer mark MOLLOY-MADE CHICAGO.
The content provides a comprehensive record of the 1941 to 1942 academic year, heavily influenced by the early American involvement in World War II. It includes approximately 484 pages featuring photographs of students in military uniforms, classroom scenes with global war maps, and text reflecting the historical gravity of the era. The internal hinges appear stable despite the external spine damage.
