Description
This vintage baby doll features a composition head and limbs attached to a stuffed cloth torso. The doll has a molded head with painted brown swirling hair and is equipped with sleep eyes that open and close. It is dressed in a handmade, cream-colored crocheted three-piece outfit including a hooded jacket, pants, and matching pink knit booties and mittens, along with a pink knit scarf. A simple white cotton chemise is worn underneath the crocheted layers. No maker marks are visible on the head or body.

The doll is in fair to poor condition with significant signs of age and wear. There is extensive crazing and cracking to the composition finish throughout the head, arms, and legs. Notable condition issues include a large vertical crack on the back of the head, significant paint loss to the molded hair, and a visible repair on the upper left arm which has been wrapped in brown adhesive tape. The cloth body shows general age-related discoloration and light soiling. The composition on the feet shows wear and loss of the top layer of finish.
