Description
This lot features a collection of vintage mid-20th-century items, including four hard plastic dolls and several miniature accessories. The dolls measure approximately 6.5 to 7.5 inches tall and are characterized by side-glancing sleep eyes and synthetic or mohair wigs. Their costumes include a pink satin-like gown with gold-tone floral accents and a matching felt hat, a folk-style ensemble featuring a white blouse and magenta skirt with blue felt trim, and two cream-colored crocheted dresses with coordinating headpieces.
The collection includes a miniature functional hand mixer identified as a Betty Taplin Beater. Constructed of metal with red-painted wooden handles, the central drive gear is stamped with Betty Taplin Beater, TRADE MARK, MADE IN U.S.A., and a circular logo featuring the letters H and T.
Additional accessories consist of a pair of pink plastic ballet slippers with long fabric ribbons, embossed on the soles with capezio (since 1887) Dances Cobbler. A pink molded plastic rocking cradle features an open-work lattice base and decorative boards embossed with a stork and infant motif. The set also includes a small, painted dark-toned baby doll, a three-piece pink molded plastic vanity set (hairbrush, comb, and hand mirror), a pair of red and black slide-on doll shoes with gold-tone accents, a set of faux-pearl jewelry, and doll-sized sunglasses with green-tinted lenses and glitter accents.
