Description
This vintage three-piece carving set consists of a steel knife and a two-pronged fork housed in a hand-carved wooden sheath that doubles as a tabletop display stand. Both the knife and fork feature wooden handles with hand-carved floral and foliate motifs, finished with brass bolsters and guards. The steel blades are stamped with the marks MADE IN INDIA and 1003/3. The accompanying wooden sheath features matching carved decoration and is fitted with brass end caps and four brass feet. Two functional brass locking levers are mounted on the top of the sheath to secure the items.

Fork length: 10.5 inches
Blade length: 7.5 inches.
Good vintage condition. The brass elements show a natural aged patina. The hand-carved wood handles and sheath exhibit minor surface wear consistent with age. The steel blades and fork tines show scattered areas of light oxidation and surface spotting. The locking levers are in working order.
