Description
An assembled lot of vintage items featuring a NOS Pflueger Rocket No. 1355 fishing reel, a military-style fighting knife, and two Michigan related nautical publications. The fishing reel is housed in its original pictorial box and includes the paper instruction manual titled Give Your Reel Proper Care and a factory hang tag. The reel features a level wind and anti-backlash mechanism, star drag, 3.62 to 1 gear ratio, and a Polished Diamolite finish. The side plate is stamped PFLUEGER ROCKET NO. 1355 MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED. The knife is a fixed blade utility pattern with a blued or parkerized steel blade, double-edged point, steel crossguard, and a handle made of stacked leather washers. It is paired with a brown leather sheath featuring metal rivets and a snap-button strap. The ephemera includes a spiral-bound book of Navigation Charts of Lake Charlevoix, Walloon Lake and Little Traverse Bay, published in 1970 by Mapping Unlimited of Detroit, Michigan. Also included is a large yellow paper Fishing Chart and Guide for the Lake St. Clair and St. Clair River Region, copyrighted in 1974 by St. Clair Consultants.

The fighting knife shows age-related patination and wear to the blade finish. There is a visible crack in the black plastic spacer between the leather handle and the crossguard. The nautical publications show yellowing, foxing, and surface staining on the covers, with original fold lines present on the Lake St. Clair guide.
