Description
This original color lithograph by Marcel Mouly (French, 1918-2008) depicts an abstracted nautical scene of sailboats racing. The print is inscribed Epreuve d’Artiste (Artist’s Proof) in pencil in the lower left margin and is signed M. Mouly in pencil in the lower right margin. The reverse of the frame bears a handwritten notation reading Orig. Litho. The work is presented in a gold-toned metal and wood frame under glass with an off-white mat.
Frame: 30.5 x 25 inches.
The print is in fair to good condition. There is visible toning and minor foxing present in the paper margins. The gold-toned frame shows light surface wear and minor scuffs. The paper backing on the reverse of the frame is torn and has remnants of old adhesive tape and labels.
