Description
This oil on canvas still life is signed Ruge in cursive script in the lower left corner. The verso shows the canvas on a wooden stretcher with keys, a paper tag marked 35793 / 1, and handwritten markings on the frame including # 317 and 1299.
Sight size: 20 x 23 inches
Frame size: 25.5 x 28.5 inches.
The painting is in good overall condition. The canvas remains taut on the stretcher. There is no evidence of significant paint loss, lifting, or major craquelure. No visible repairs or restoration were observed under normal lighting. The ornate gilded frame shows minor surface wear, including small scuffs and minor losses to the gilded finish, consistent with age and handling.
