Description
This color lithograph is a work by the prominent Mexican muralist and artist David Alfaro Siqueiros, from his suite titled Prison Fantasies (Fantasias de la Prision), created during his incarceration in the early 1960s. The work is hand-signed D. A. Siqueiros in pencil in the lower-right margin and is hand-numbered 177/250 in the lower-left margin. The reverse side features a framer’s label for Regency Galleries of Stamford, Connecticut.
Framed dimensions: 26.5 x 22 inches.
The print appears to be in very good overall condition, with the paper remaining bright and free of visible foxing, significant toning, or water damage. The colors are well-preserved and show no obvious signs of fading. The frame is structurally sound with minor superficial wear to the edges consistent with age and handling. The artwork has not been examined outside of the frame.
