Description
This lot features a circular color reproductive print on paper after a pastoral composition by Francois Boucher. The scene depicts a seated woman surrounded by sheep in a wooded landscape, with a young couple observing a bird’s nest and children playing near a stone fountain in the background. The work is signed Boucher in the lower right margin. The verso shows a torn backing paper with handwritten ink inscriptions reading The Bird nest and The Berd nest, along with a faint, illegible square stamp.

The print and matting show evidence of age-related tanning, discoloration, and scattered foxing throughout. The ornate frame has minor surface wear consistent with age. The backing paper is torn and fragile with significant losses.
