Description
This work by Louis Icart (French, 1888-1950) is a color etching with drypoint and aquatint titled La Lettre. The lower right margin features a pencil inscription that reads La lettre BY LOUIS ICART. Printed text along the bottom edge of the sheet includes a copyright notice stating COPYRIGHT 1923 BY L. ICART PARIS and L. ICART N.Y.
Sheet size: 21 x 15.5 inches.
The paper shows substantial age-related toning and scattered foxing throughout. A large, prominent water stain is present along the upper edge of the sheet. There is a small tear at the top left corner, and the edges and corners show minor wear and small creases.
