Description
This lot contains three ceramic items created in the styles of various indigenous South American and West Mexican cultures. The first item is a contemporary polychrome studio ceramic vessel by the Chilean artist Ernesto Duran, produced under the Clio Chile studio. The vessel features a tall neck fashioned into an anthropomorphic face with a prominent nose, bulging eyes, and applied ear spools. The base of the vessel bears the incised marks Ernesto Duran and Clio Chile. The second item is a seated terracotta figurine in the style of West Mexican Pre-Columbian cultures such as Nayarit. The underside has a handwritten white mark of a stylized loop. The third item is a small, dark-toned ceramic figurine of a seated zoomorphic figure with hands held to its face, possibly representing a monkey.

Seated figurine: 5.5 inches height
Small figurine: 2.5 inches height.
Condition report:
The Ernesto Duran vessel is in excellent condition with minor surface abrasions consistent with display. The seated figurine with a child appears intact; surface wear and aging are likely intentional characteristics of the studio reproduction process. The small dark figurine shows significant surface wear and loss to the original finish.
