Description
A pair of graduated globular ceramic vases crafted from cream-colored earthenware with a fine crackle glaze. The vases are decorated in the Satsuma style with overglaze enamels, raised moriage stippling, and extensive gilding. These markings are consistent with workshop batch numbers typical of late 19th to early 20th-century export production.
Larger Vase: 5.5 inches height
Smaller Vase: 4.25 inches height.
Good antique condition with uniform crazing to the glaze consistent with age. Minor surface wear to the gilding and enamel decoration is present, particularly around the rims. Protective felt pads are adhered to the undersides. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible.
