Description
A complete set of 32 hand-carved bone chess pieces in the traditional Chinese export style. The set is divided into 16 natural off-white pieces and 16 pieces stained a dark brown. The pieces are housed in a rectangular presentation box covered in a green and gold geometric pattern silk brocade fabric. The interior is lined with blue satin and features form-fitted compartments for each piece. The box is secured by two white bone toggles.

King height: 3.5 inches.
Good vintage condition overall. The carved bone pieces show light surface soiling and age-appropriate wear. The presentation box shows external staining, minor fading, and light fraying to the fabric corners and edges. The interior satin lining displays minor compression marks.
