Description
This lot consists of four jadeite milk glass vessels and one clear glass lid produced by Anchor Hocking under the Fire-King brand. The glass is an opaque pale green. The collection includes a large batter bowl with a handle and pouring spout, two smaller mixing bowls with spouts, one of which is accompanied by a coordinating clear ribbed glass lid, and a measuring cup featuring a handle, pouring spout, and embossed measurement markings on the exterior. The base of the measuring cup features a pressed floral or sunburst pattern. The bases of the larger bowls are embossed with the mark OVEN Fire-King WARE MADE IN U.S.A.
Large batter bowl: 8 inches diameter
Measuring cup: 4 inches diameter
Smaller mixing bowls: 5.5 inches diameter
Bowl height: 3.5 inches.
The set is in good vintage condition. There is minor flea-bite chipping and roughness visible along the outer rim of one bowl. A small yellowish surface stain is present on the interior of the large batter bowl. The glass exhibits typical manufacturing striations and swirls inherent to the production of mid-century opaque milk glass.
