Description
This lot comprises five pieces of mid-20th-century American jadeite glass, an opaque green milk glass produced by Anchor Hocking. The collection includes two Shell pattern bowls, which feature flared scalloped rims and an embossed wavy shell motif around the lower exterior. One bowl is marked on the base with the embossed Fire-King OVEN GLASS stamp, dating the production to the mid-1940s. Also included are two matching vases in an Art Deco leaf pattern, characterized by a stylized leaf form, scalloped rims, and three decorative beads on the sides. The fifth piece is a small vessel decorated with an all-over diamond lattice pattern and beaded intersections, featuring the numeral 3 embossed on the base.
Shell bowls: 5 inches diameter, 2.25 inches height
Leaf vases: 5.25 inches height
Lattice vessel: 2.5 inches height.
The items are in good vintage condition, showing typical manufacturing characteristics such as mold lines and cooling marks known as straw marks. One vase has a small dark surface mark on the base and a minor dark smudge on the interior rim. The bowls exhibit light surface shelf wear on the underside. No major chips or cracks are noted.
