Description
A pair of vintage Art Deco style bathroom towel bars manufactured from solid, opaque light green glass in the style of jadeite. The bars feature a 90-degree bend at each end and a smooth, polished surface. The lot includes two circular, pressed-metal mounting escutcheons with cylindrical collars and three pre-drilled holes for wall mounting. These glass rods are characteristic of American bathroom hardware produced during the 1920s through the 1940s. No manufacturer marks are visible on the glass or the metal hardware.
Length: 17.5 to 18 inches.
This set is partially complete. One bar includes two mounting brackets, while the second bar is missing its mounting hardware. The glass bars are structurally sound but show dark residue and surface staining at the ends where they met the metal collars. The metal mounting brackets are in poor condition, exhibiting heavy oxidation, pitting, and surface rust throughout.
