Description
This set of four vitrified china restaurant-ware cups and matching saucers was manufactured by Buffalo China of Buffalo, New York. The cups feature a low, rounded form with a classic D-shaped handle. The undersides of the saucers bear a green underglaze backstamp reading Buffalo China, W-12, and MADE IN U.S.A. The underside of each cup features an impressed mark consisting of a buffalo silhouette above the words CHINA and USA.
Saucer: 5.75 inches in diameter
Cup: 2.25 inches in height.
The set is in good vintage condition with no visible cracks, large chips, or repairs. There is minor surface wear consistent with commercial use. Small firing imperfections including glaze pinholes and stilt marks on the rims are present, typical of mass-produced restaurant ware from this period.
