Description
This collection includes three mid-20th-century publications: two hardcover books with their original dust jackets and one softcover periodical. The first hardcover is Mind and the Mystery: The Catholic Explanation by C. J. Eustace, published by Longmans, Green and Co., New York and Toronto, in 1937. This octavo-sized volume is bound in publisher’s cloth and retains its light green and cream dust jacket. The second hardcover is World’s Wit and Wisdom, edited by Norman Lockridge and published by the Herald Publishing Company, New York, with a copyright date of 1936 by The Black Hawk Press. The spine of this volume features the Biltmore imprint. Both hardcovers include a woodcut-style ex-libris bookplate for the Library of R. C. Fellows. The third item is a softcover copy of The London Mystery Magazine, Vol. I, No. 4, dated June/July 1950, published by The Hulton Press Ltd. in London. It contains contributions from authors such as Russell Kirk, Mary Fitt, and Lillian de la Torre.

Condition report:
The volumes show moderate age-related wear throughout. The dust jacket for Mind and the Mystery has small chips at the head of the spine and light edge wear. The dust jacket for World\'s Wit and Wisdom exhibits significant chipping and shelf wear, particularly along the top and bottom edges. Both hardcovers show internal page tanning and contain bookplates on the interior front covers. The London Mystery Magazine shows light soiling and edge wear to the wrappers, with a vintage circular price sticker on the front cover.
