The second volume is China to Me: A Partial Autobiography by Emily Hahn, published by Blakiston in 1944 (copyright MCMXLIV). This volume contains a pictorial ex-libris bookplate for the Library of R. C. Fellows, depicting a man reading beneath a tree, and an ownership signature dated May 14, 1945. Both volumes were printed at the Country Life Press in Garden City, N. Y.
Height: 8 1/4 inches.
Both volumes exhibit shelf wear and tanning to the pages consistent with age. The Story of Oriental Philosophy shows significant water staining on the inner endpapers and the margins of the initial leaves. The dust jacket for this volume has moderate rubbing and edge wear.
