Description
A circular, hand-finished earthenware wall charger crafted from buff-colored clay. The front of the piece is decorated with high-relief carved or molded geometric and stylized floral motifs. A central sunburst flower is set within a spiraling whirlpool border, which is surrounded by four crescent-shaped panels featuring a repeating star-pattern or flower of life geometric design. The raised surfaces are finished with a reddish-brown ochre slip, while the recessed areas reveal the lighter tone of the underlying clay body. The charger features a deeply scalloped or fluted edge and includes an integral clay hanging loop on the reverse. The reverse side shows a wide perimeter of the same reddish-brown slip surrounding an unfinished clay center. No maker marks, factory stamps, or signatures are visible.

The charger is in good vintage condition. There is minor surface wear and small, scattered losses to the reddish-brown slip on both the front and the reverse, consistent with age and handling. The edges show slight wear, but no major chips, cracks, or repairs are evident. The integral hanging loop on the reverse is sturdy and intact.
