Description
This lot features two die-cast semi-truck and trailer advertising models representing office furniture manufacturers Haworth and Steelcase. The first model is a Peterbilt Model 377A/E produced by ERTL, featuring a white livery with Haworth branding and the slogan furniture for what is next. The underside of the cab is marked with the ERTL logo and the number 0179U, while the trailer base also bears the ERTL mark. The second model is a Steelcase Limited Edition promotional bank produced by Liberty Classics and distributed by Spec Cast. This Peterbilt semi-tractor and trailer is finished in blue with a silver-colored roof and features the rainbow Steelcase logo with the slogan Transforming The Ways People Work. This model functions as a coin bank with a slot located on the trailer roof and a lockable rear door. The original gold-tone metal key is included and is currently attached to the underside. The trailer base is embossed with the text Limited Edition, Liberty Classics, Libertyville IL. U.S.A., Peterbilt Semi, Made in China, Dist. by Spec Cast, and Dyersville Ia. Both models are constructed with die-cast metal cabs and frames and include plastic components.
Total length: 11 to 11.5 inches.
Both models are in excellent condition and appear to be complete. The paint and graphics on both trailers and cabs are well-preserved with no significant wear noted. The Steelcase bank mechanism is intact and includes the original key. The wheels are free-rolling on both units. These items are without original packaging.
