Description
This lot features two collectible dolls from Lenox and Paradise Galleries. The first doll is Katerina from The Children of Ellis Island Collection by Lenox. This commemorative piece is constructed with a hand-painted bisque porcelain head, forearms, and lower legs on a stuffed cloth body. The back of the neck is marked with a green printed Lenox logo and a blue Official Licensee stamp for Ellis Island 1892-1992, with an incised date of 1993. The doll features fixed inset brown eyes with painted lashes and a synthetic brown wig styled in two long braids with purple bows. She is dressed in her original multi-colored vertical striped and dark green dress with burgundy scrolled trim, a matching hat, and purple boots, and carries a tan cloth bundle accessory. Accompanying items include the original Lenox box, branded tissue paper, a circular wooden display stand, an informational booklet, and a Certificate of Authenticity identifying the doll as part of a limited edition of 4,500 worldwide.
The second doll is Samantha, designed by artist Hildegard Gunzel for the Paradise Galleries My Little Miracle Treasury Collection. The doll features a head and limbs made of porcelain or high-quality vinyl with a weighted cloth body. She has wispy blonde hair visible beneath a lace-trimmed bonnet and fixed inset brown eyes. The doll is wearing a white lace-trimmed christening gown accented with pink satin ribbons and fabric roses. This item is in its original box and retains protective internal packaging, including netting over the face and foam wraps on the limbs. The original collector card and Paradise Galleries branded packaging are included.

Both dolls are in excellent collector-grade condition. The Lenox Katerina doll shows no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the porcelain, and the clothing is well-preserved. The Paradise Galleries Samantha doll is new in box and remains in its original protective internal packaging. The original boxes for both dolls show minor shelf wear and light scuffing consistent with age and storage.
