Description
A group of six contemporary collectible dolls from the 1990s, featuring bisque porcelain heads, hands, and lower legs on stuffed cloth bodies. Each doll is fitted with fixed inset eyes and synthetic wigs in various styles. The collection includes several identified artist dolls and limited edition pieces.
The first doll is Dawn by Kaye Wiggs, dated 1995. The back of the neck features incised marks Kaye Wiggs and K-A-10 along with a printed mark Kaye Wiggs 1995 700/2500. This doll has reddish-brown curly hair with a sunflower accessory and brown eyes. She wears a black and white polka-dot dress with a white collar and cuffs, white tights, and black shoes. An Artist International certificate of authenticity is included.
The second doll is a Janis Berard limited edition piece. The neck is signed Janis Berard in black ink and numbered 734/1500. It features a blonde ringlet wig and blue eyes. The doll is dressed in a multi-tiered cream lace and satin gown with faux pearl accents and a matching headpiece.
The third doll is Katherine by Connie Walser Derek for The Hamilton Collection, dated 1992. The neck is printed with Katherine No. 3377A 1992 Hamilton Collection and incised by HAMILTON COLLECTION Connie Walser Derek. She has curly blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a pale blue and cream satin dress with pink bows.
The fourth doll is Molly by Elaine Campbell, dated 1991. The neck is incised Molly by Elaine Campbell 1991. She features dark brown curls and blue eyes. She wears a pink satin and lace dress with a matching bonnet and is accompanied by a small lace parasol and a painted wooden elephant toy on wheels.
The fifth doll features long curly brown hair and green eyes. She wears a green, tan, and brown plaid dress with a matching tam hat, a green knit cardigan, white bloomers, and brown shoes.
The sixth doll has curly blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a black velvet-style dress with white lace trim and pink ribbon accents with a matching lace bonnet.
