Description
This lot consists of a collection of seven modern decorative collector dolls. Each doll is constructed with a bisque porcelain head, lower arms, and lower legs attached to a stuffed cloth body. The dolls feature fixed, inset acrylic or glass-style eyes in shades of blue and green with hand-painted facial details. They are fitted with synthetic wigs in various styles and colors including bright red ringlets, auburn curls, and blonde waves. One doll features an incised mark on the back of the shoulder plate that reads Mold By T J, suggesting the use of a mold from T.J. Doll Molds. The dolls are dressed in original, highly decorative period-style costumes made from materials such as satin-like fabrics, lace overlays, velvet-type accents, and floral prints.
