Description
A collection of lepidoptera specimens, including various butterflies and moths, each individually housed in a rectangular black Riker-style mount featuring a glass front and white cotton batting background. The assembly contains several smaller mounts and one larger central mount. Notable specimens include a large butterfly resembling the African Giant Swallowtail (Papilio antimachus), exhibiting elongated forewings with a cream base and dark brown patterns. Also included is an iridescent moth characteristic of the genus Urania, showing black wings with lime-green to white bands. Another specimen is a tan silkmoth from the Saturniidae family with four translucent circular eyespots. The collection further includes a dark brown butterfly with iridescent purplish-white spots resembling a male Great Eggfly (Hypolimnas bolina), and a dark brown swallowtail with a distinct cream-colored diagonal band. No locality or provenance information is visible.

The specimens show varying degrees of wear consistent with age. Missing or damaged antennae are observed on several specimens. There is visible wing edge fraying and small losses, particularly evident on the iridescent Urania moth. The Riker mounts exhibit minor shelf wear and scuffing to the black exterior frames.
