Description
This collection of eight vintage wooden puzzles features a variety of themes including popular characters, shapes, and transportation. The group is composed of puzzles from several manufacturers, constructed primarily of plywood and pressed wood fiberboard. Included are four Playskool character puzzles: Minnie Mouse (Stock No. 190-16) with 8 pieces, Donald Duck (Stock No. 190-02) with 8 pieces, Do The Raggedy Dance (Stock No. 216-01) with 9 pieces, and Three Honkers (Stock No. 315-26) featuring Sesame Street characters with 11 pieces. Most Playskool items are marked Made in U.S.A. and carry respective copyrights for Walt Disney Productions, Macmillan Inc., and Muppets Inc.
The lot also contains two Melissa & Doug peg puzzles: a Shapes Sound Peg Puzzle (Model #338) with 9 pieces and a Hands & Numbers puzzle for counting. The sound puzzle features a battery compartment on the reverse for two AAA batteries. Transportation-themed items include a Schylling locomotive puzzle depicting a blue engine numbered 123 and a Small World Toys Loco Shapes puzzle (Stock No. 2547) from the Puzzibilities line, dated 1998 and marked Made in U.S.A.

Train puzzles: 11.5 inches x 8.5 inches.
The puzzles are in used vintage condition. Visible signs of wear include fraying and chipping at the corners and edges of the wooden boards. There is scattered paint scuffing and surface loss across several pieces, most notably on the Melissa & Doug Shapes puzzle. The electronic sound mechanism on the Melissa & Doug puzzle works. All puzzles are complete.
