Description
This collection consists of three hand-painted Chinese hanging scrolls executed in ink and color on paper, dating to the 1980s.
The first scroll depicts a pink peony and white plum blossoms in an expressive freehand style. The calligraphic inscription includes the title Mudan Mei (Peony and Plum) and cyclical dates corresponding to the years 1972 and 1983, indicating the work was completed in the first month of 1983. It features a single red artist seal.
The second scroll is a landscape titled Shu Jiang Fan Ying (Sailing Shadows on the Shu River). The composition depicts jagged mountain peaks and several sailing junks on a winding river using atmospheric ink washes. It is signed Yashi and dated to the spring of 1988 (Wuchen year). This scroll is mounted with patterned silk-style brocade in golden-yellow and ivory tones and features three red square seals.
The third scroll depicts Shoulao, the God of Longevity, holding a staff with a gourd and a longevity peach. He is accompanied by a spotted deer and five bats, representing the Five Blessings. The work is titled Lu Shou Tu (Deer and Longevity Painting) and is dated to the spring of 1983 (Guihai year). It is mounted with light blue fabric borders.
All three scrolls are finished with dark-toned wooden or composition scroll ends.

The collection is in overall good condition. The landscape scroll shows light horizontal creasing from regular use and minor wear to the mounting edges. The floral scroll displays minor horizontal creasing and light toning to the paper ground. The Shoulao scroll exhibits more pronounced horizontal creasing across the image and mounting, as well as minor foxing and small brown spots on the paper surface.
