Description
This etching with drypoint and aquatint by Louis Icart (French, 1888-1950) is titled Eve. The upper right margin is printed with Edite par Joubert et Cie – 5 Rue Scribe – Paris. The work is presented behind glass in a rectangular gilt frame with a cream-colored mat. An accompanying handwritten note on yellow paper identifies the artist and publisher. A hand-written pencil signature is not visible in the provided images.

Frame: 21.5 x 25.5 inches.
The paper exhibits significant age-related toning and yellowing throughout. Scattered light foxing is present in both the margins and the image area. The gilt frame shows minor surface scuffs and wear. The paper backing on the reverse of the frame is brittle and heavily torn.
