Description
This diverse collection includes various printing techniques such as etching, engraving, aquatint, and lithography, alongside photography and manuscript leaves. A primary highlight is an 18th-century style etching and engraving titled Veduta di una parte di Firenze presa fuori della Porta a S. Niccolo presso al Fiume Arno, after Giuseppe Zocchi (Italian, 1711–1767) and engraved by Bernardo Sgrilli. The work is from the Scelta di XXIV Vedute series and displays a visible plate mark and precise intaglio linework. Another notable engraving is THE ARQUEBUSIER, after Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier (French, 1815–1891) by Jean Baptiste Meunier, also featuring a distinct plate mark.
The lot includes a pair of hand-colored aquatints titled THE MEET and RETURNING FROM THE HUNT, after William Shayer and engraved by C. R. Stock. These works demonstrate the tonal gradations characteristic of the aquatint technique with added watercolor. Contemporary equine interest is represented by a 1952 color lithograph of the racehorse Dormello, signed in plate by Allen F. Brewer Jr.
Further items include a portfolio of four color prints titled Colonial Williamsburg Water Colors after James Preston, depicting The Governor’s Palace, The Capitol, and other landmarks. There are two Indo-Persian style miniature paintings rendered in gouache with calligraphic borders, four monochromatic silver gelatin architectural photographs signed Franck, and several leaves of liturgical sheet music with red and black square notation. An oval hand-colored lithograph portrait of a woman and several other miscellaneous landscape and figurative prints complete the assortment.

The collection is in fair to good condition. Observable age-related wear includes moderate toning to the paper, marginal foxing (notably on the hunting prints), and scattered small edge tears and corner creasing. Some sheets exhibit light surface soil. All items are unframed and loose.
